All attribute codes related to dam
location have been edited for accuracy by the Dam Safety Program.
Point locations are accurate for
the verified dam locations at a scale of 1:24,000.
These data represent dam locations that (1) were verified
and edited for positional accuracy and (2) were not verifiable using the
available source data, but were checked and edited by the Dam Safety Program.
Location of these dams was determined using USGS 1:24,000 quadrangles, the
digital raster graphics data layer in the statewide corporate geographic
database, and the hydrography (1:24,000) data layer in the statewide corporate
geographic database.
Using ESRI's ARC/INFO GIS software, the data set was built for
point topology using the "build" command.
Are there legal restrictions on access or use of the data?
