WATER QUALITY DESCRIPTION	As with all of the watersheds in this region, the Sandymush Creek watershed shows significant stream sedimentation and elevated nutrient concentrations. Sedimentation is greatest at the upstream sites and at the North and South Turkey Creek sites and nutrient concentrations are greatest at the mid-stream and downstream sections of Sandymush Creek and at North and South Turkey Creeks. However, water quality has been showing some improvements in various parameters at the Turkey Creek sites, but has been declining in water quality at the upstream Sandymush Creek sites. Development and deforestation may be factors in the declining water quality of the upper portion of the watershed.
