WATER QUALITY DESCRIPTION	The urban stream sites are particularly noted for high conductivity and heavy metals (especially zinc) concentrations, although nutrient levels can also sometimes be elevated. One site, Glenn Creek which flows through the center of Asheville, shows even median copper and zinc concentrations exceeding water quality standards. Median zinc levels are more than double the water quality standard. Other stream sites with elevated conductivity and zinc levels include Reed Creek, Smith Mill Creek, South Creek at Beaver Lake, Beaverdam Creek, and Ross Creek.
